All New Products and My Thoughts

So I've bought a few new products over the last two months and I'd like to give my thoughts on them. The prices range about $9-$40 so some are pricier then I think everyone wants, but they're around my normal price point. I wanted to have an even number of products, but my other new product is a cleanser and mine somehow has not run out yet. So let's dive in.
  1. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk - This is my, most recent purchase. I've used it about five or six times. I have dry lips even though I use lip products to help that. That said, it doesn't make my lips look dry. It holds the color well, even after lipstick has worn off. I love the color too. It's the perfect my lips but better color for me. In a nice pinky nude. It's got a good amount of product, and I haven't had to sharpen it yet. At $22 I would say for me it's worth the money, but if you know of any other lip liners, you think I should try. Leave a comment.
  2. Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte SPF 30 - I got this as a sample with my family and friends discount at Sephora, and I ordered after two uses. I've been looking for a good SPF that doesn't feel heavy, leaves a white cast and feels weightless. This does the trick. It has a tint to it, even with my fair skin it looks ok. As long as I blend it down to the neck, otherwise there is a line. Honestly, I really like and would recommend it. The only thing is I would not say this is to use alone for oily skin types. For my dry/normal skin it works just fine alone. I don't use a primer and the color lasts all day. I do use a cleansing balm and cleanser to clean my face at night after, but I do that anytime I wear makeup. $36 I'm not sure what other tinted sunscreens are out there that would work as a dupe. I personally really love this one.
  3. Kosas Creme Blush and Highlight in 8th Muse - So I really was tired of powder blush. Powder most of the time, does not work for my skin type. As a result, I decided to give this a try. There were a lot of cream blushes, but this one appealed the most. I'd also heard good reviews from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Makeup Bag (Matilda). I really researched what I'd want for a cream blush and this one seemed best. The added highlighter is nice too. Soft and not to wet looking. $34 for two products and clean, and cruelty-free made it worth the price for me.
  4. Innsfree Fermented Soybean Firming Energy Essence - This is not a dupe for SK II. Not by a long shot. It's ok though and I'll most likely use the whole thing. It's much less expensive than the SK II though so it was worth a try. I don't have much to say on this product. It feels soft and smooth. Easy to apply and you need so little. For $39 I'm not blown away, but I haven't used it long enough to see results so, we shall see.
  5. The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid* 2% Emulsion - I've been using retinal for about a year now, and I've tried three different ones. This being the third. My acne has gotten better, and my skin feels smoother in the morning. At thirty I see lines and wrinkles around my eyes, but they're smile lines so I'm not to upset. So far this has felt more like a precaution then actual treatment. I used retinal when I was twenty-five too, but I stopped using skincare for four years because my depression got so bad, I just didn't care. The results are there but minor. This one only comes in at $9.80 though so if it works then this is the one I'll stick with.
  6. Glossier Futuredew - Now this is new to the skincare world in general so ... What it is meant to do is give you a hydrated glow and dewy appearance. Do I think it does that? Yes, yes I do, but the moisturizer I use (the dewy skin cream) does almost the same thing. When I put them on together I just look wet. I like how it looks though. I prefer to look super hydrated. Most likely because when I miss a day of skincare I just look dry and dull. $24 worth it? If you want to look glowy without a full foundation routine then yes, but it's not necessary.
  7. By Terry Volume & Length Mascara - Twist Brush - OMG I LOVE THIS STUFF! I use to use babydoll mascara by YSL, but it was discontinued. Broke my heart, but this. This is better. So the way it works is you have the wand it's thin. Just like babydoll. After you apply the first coat you twist the bottom and it turns to a more curl focused wand. It's darn near perfect. $30 yeah the last one was $29, so this is fine. I use it as often as I can and I will rebuy this when it dries up, again and, again and again.
So those are my new seven products. I'm happy with for the most part and I'll use all of it up. I just don't know if I'll rebuy the Innsfree Essence. Thanks for reading. I'll talk to you Wednesday.
